The coming of age drama that, with its emotional, rooted story that tells the true power of female friendships, also perfectly captures the infectious joy that pop music once had on all of us.

sat down for a candid chat with ETimes Jordan Fisher, grayson villanueva, Josh Lewis And Topher Ngo The ones who make up the first fictional boy band – 4*TOWN.

From spilling the beans about your own ‘crazy-fan’ past to sharing the power of music and even choosing bts As the ruling cultural icon, all he had to say was…

Part:

How would you describe your character’s personality?

Passion: I am playing the character of Aaron Jade. I studied his swag, based on how he looks, his style, and brought it to life from there. I just used my imagination and brought his personality and energy to life.

Grayson: I tae young, He is known to be a loving and very nurturing person. In the short feature, he’s raising a pigeon, so so is his personality.

Tofer: I am playing the character of Aaron T. What’s described is this goofy and quick-witted kind of dude. If there is any tension in the group, he is the one who cracks the joke and keeps things light.

Jordan: Robair This broody, sweet, French-Canadian, French-speaking guy is just like he’s the Justin Timberlake of the group. It’s a lot of fun to be with and to be the first Pixar boy band is a remarkable honor and we are so grateful to be a part of it with these talented people.

Mei Lee’s life is about 4*Town. Did you have a boy-band era growing up and what was the craziest thing you did for an idol?

Jordan: I’m a 90s kid, so NSYNC ruled my life. I was recently asked to choose between Backstreet Boys or NSYNC. Backstreet was such an older band and more soulful, but NSYNC were the Goats who did what no one else was doing. There was this authenticity to his sound and music and his acapella sounded great. I was a huge fan and had a VHS copy of Darren’s dance group choreography.

For this film, when we met in the studio, we thought this movie was perfect because in the 90s, we were all in middle-school and going through that.

The craziest thing I did was send a love letter to The Naked Brothers Band show because I had a crush on the actress.

Tofar, how did you feel about being a part of ‘Turning Red’ and representing the Vietnamese people in a Pixar film?

Tofer: It is such an honour. You don’t see Vietnamese representation there, so it’s so valid to be in this Pixar film with an Asian-led, female-directed film. I didn’t see faces like me in the media growing up, so it’s so dope for the younger generation to be so capable! My younger cousins are so excited about this that they can get the DVD and show it to their kids and be in the ethos of representation.

4*town ho It had the power to unite people around the world, regardless of culture or race. Which artist do you think has this power today?

Tofer: I think the Beatles did it. They were in my parents’ generation, but I still listen to their music.

Jordan: Bowie… Harry Styles Today is our bowie. He is about all walks of life and representation and (reason) humanity which is very special. Do you know what I think is great? We used to look at the actors as the sounding board for all this. Today people like because of social media Greta Thunberg that could be. You don’t need to be a boyband or big artist to have a stage or voice to make a cultural impact or a global human impact. You can be anywhere from 15 years old, with an ounce of technology and an incredible idea and you can start something incredible. But of course, in the early 2000s, social media was not a thing and we considered TRL and magazines to be the answer to it all.

Passion: I would also like to say, for me it has always been Michael Jackson. He did a crazy amazing job at that. He simply speaks his mind, what he feels about the world and applies his message to his music in such an artistic, bold and sober manner.

Grayson: I would say that BTS has a huge following and influence. I think they’re the boy bands that have a hold on pop culture right now.
