Rupali Ganguly’s show Anupama is still the most watched Hindi television show. Broadcast Audience Research Channel (BARC) has released the viewing patterns of Indian viewers between 22 and 28 August. Here are the top five shows on Indian TV that week:
Anupama
Anupama, which stars actors Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma in lead roles, has once again topped the Television Rating Point (TRP) list with 3.9 million views. The daily soap also recently saw the entry of actor Gaurav Khanna, who plays the much-awaited character of Anupama’s college friend Anuj Kapadia.
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin
Ghoom Hai Kisi Ki Pyaar Mein has secured the second position on the rating charts with 3.5 million views. Viewers are enjoying the changing dynamics between the three main characters Virat, Sai and Pakhi. The characters are played by actors Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma respectively.
Tamarind
A loose adaptation of the Bengali series Ishti Kutum, Imli stars actors Sumbul Tauqir Khan, Gashmir Mahajani and Mayuri Deshmukh in lead roles. The drama show has gained immense popularity in the last one year. Imlie has garnered 2.9 million views this week.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 11
Khatron Ke Khiladi season 11, a stunt-based reality show hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, garnered 2.7 million views. The ongoing season has an interesting list of contestants including Arjun Bijlani, Shweta Tiwari, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Rahul Vaidya and the list goes on. It airs on Colors.
Yeh Hai Chattein
Actors Abrar Qazi and Sargun Kaur’s show Yeh Hai Chahatein has secured the fifth position on the TRP charts. This Star Plus show has got 2.5 million views. Yeh Hai Chahatein has kept the audience hooked to its story for the past few weeks.
