Punjab: 12-year-old girl killed, 3 children injured in explosion at cracker unit in Rajpura Ludhiana News – Times of India

Patiala: A 12-year-old girl was killed and three other children aged between six and 13 were injured in an explosion at a house in Jandoli village on the outskirts of Rajpura town on Saturday morning. 30 KM from Patiala.

Police revealed that the blast took place at 10.30 am, following which the villagers called the police. Villagers said that when they reached the spot after hearing a “high intensity” explosion, they found that a part of the house had collapsed.
The girl who died on the spot has been identified as Manpreet Kaur and the injured children as Krishan, Gurpreet Singh and Pallavi. Police said the walls and roof of the house collapsed due to the blast. SSP Patiala Sandeep Garg said, “It was not a factory. Illegal manufacturing of firecrackers was being done in a room. The probe will look into where the accused were to supply firecrackers. No guilty will be spared.”
