Travis Barker says he’s ‘much better at present’ after having a colonoscopy

New Delhi: Travis Barker has said that he is “much better at present” after being hospitalized on Tuesday due to a medical problem.

According to Variety, Kourtney Kardashian’s husband of 46 years and drummer for ‘Blink-182’ had his pancreatic drainage tube injured during a routine endoscopy, he said in a health update posted on his official Instagram. He expressed his admiration for starting to recover.

Travis took to his Instagram story and wrote, “I was feeling great for an endoscopy on Monday. I had excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp. [a tissue growth] Removed in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately has damaged a vital pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.

“The term pancreatitis refers to inflammation of the pancreas, which manifests as nausea, severe abdominal pain, and vomiting. Barker’s statement concludes, “I am so grateful that with intensive treatment I am much better than I am at present.” Kardashian also provided an update on Barker’s health via her Instagram story. “Oh, what a scary and emotional week it’s been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly this can change,” Kardashian wrote.

“I am very grateful to God for recovering my husband, for all of us for him and for your prayers for us, for the love and support. I am so impressed and appreciative. I am very grateful to my specialists, doctors And the nurses at Cedar Sinai for taking such good care of my husband and me during our stay.”

Starting his career in the music industry in the 1990s, Barker has recently experienced a surge in popularity among the general public. On last year’s episode of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, the drummer’s relationship with the Kardashians was extensively recorded. In May, the couple exchanged vows in Portofino, Italy.
