Travis Barker resumes work after being diagnosed with ‘life-threatening pancreatitis’

Musician Travis Barker, who was recently hospitalized, has now resumed work. According to People, the Blink-182 drummer was photographed walking outside his recording studio in Calabasas, California on Tuesday. Barker was seen wearing a black t-shirt and pants and accentuated his look with black sunglasses. A source close to Barker told the publication, “He is recovering slowly and is following his doctors’ orders closely.” Barker was hospitalized last week due to pancreatitis, an inflammation of the organ that aids in digestion and controls blood sugar.

On Saturday, he shared his health update with his fans and followers on Instagram. “I went in for an endoscopy on Monday, I felt great. I had excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp. [a tissue growth] Removed in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately has damaged a vital pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis,” he shared.

He continued, “I am so grateful that with intensive treatment, I am much better than I am at present.” Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, also shared an update on her own Instagram Story, noting that they were “so touched and appreciative” of the support they received.

“I am very grateful to God for recovering my husband, for all of us for him and for your prayers for us, for the love and support. I am so impressed and appreciative. I am very grateful to my specialists, doctors And the nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such good care of my husband and me during our stay,” she posted.

Barker and Courtney married in Italy in May. At the idyllic estate of Villa Oliveta, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana followed Kourtney’s wedding to Travis Barker with a lavish wedding reception for their friends and family at Castello Brown.
