Television actor Shaheer Sheikh shared a glimpse of his newborn daughter on Instagram as he celebrated the festival of lights on Thursday. The 37-year-old actor welcomed his first child with his wife and creative producer Ruchika Kapoor at Balaji Telefilms in September this year. The couple welcomed a baby girl on September 10, whom they named Anaya.
Shaheer’s latest Instagram post features adorable legs of Anaya, who was dressed in a bright yellow traditional outfit. The actor also shared Diwali wishes with his online followers, which read, “Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali. Happy Diwali.” Celebrities and fans of the actor shared their wishes and reactions for the adorable picture on Instagram. Television actress Lata Sabarwal’s comment on Shaheer’s post read, “Awwwwww. Happy Diwali.”

Actress Chaitrali L Gupte also shared her Diwali wishes with the couple, as she commented, “Oh. God wish him and you all a very Happy Diwali Shaheer Sheikh Ruchika Kapoor and baby Anaya.”
Shaheer’s fan account also reacted to the picture which was the first glimpse of his daughter. The comment read, “Oh my god. Thank you so much for giving me a glimpse of Ananya. We can’t wait to see his face. Wishing you a very Happy and Happy Diwali.”
Shaheer married his partner Ruchika in November last year. The couple had a simple wedding ceremony which also included Supriya Pilgaonkar, who was Shaheer’s aide in his hit show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.
Earlier in August, Ruchika and Shaheer also hosted a baby shower party. Balaji Motion Pictures Senior Vice President and Creative Producer shared a reel on Instagram, showing a glimpse of the event.
Ruchika also wrote a caption along with the reel, which read, ‘Always late for the party… even if it is my own. So leave them now. Many thanks to my family and friends for making this happen.”
