Two boys were allegedly kept in chains at a madrasa in Lucknow.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, a madrasa’s maulana allegedly chained the legs of two boys to prevent them from escaping.

The matter came to light when a local made a video and sent it to the police, who reached the spot and freed the children before taking the accused into custody.

Meanwhile, the parents of the boys have filed a written application saying that they do not want any legal action to be taken against the Maulana. According to the police, the parents said that they asked the Maulana to be strict with the children as he had tried to run away several times in the past to avoid his studies.

The children said that they tried to run away because they did not want to study. One of the boys said that he even hid in the toilet to avoid studies.
