Jethalal and Dayaben
Well, it is confirmed that the popular character of Dayaben is returning in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, but with or without Disha Vakani, there is still a question. The popular bonding of Jethalal and Daya Ben was liked by many. However, it is not yet decided whether Disha Vakani will return to the show or not. Breaking his silence on Disha leaving the show, her co-actor Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) said, ‘Whether she will come back or not, only the production house knows and I would not like to be involved.’
Speaking to ETimes, Dilip Joshi said, “It has been five years since Disha took a break from the show. Now, whether she will return or not, only the production house knows and I would not like to come in. Also, I have to Glad that the audience continues to shower the same love and attention that they did while shooting for Daya.” Read also: CONFIRMED! Meanwhile, Disha Vakani recently welcomed her second child. In 2017, she welcomed a baby girl and later left the show to focus on her family. Now they are blessed with a child. After Disha’s departure, Neha Mehta, Gurcharan Singh, Bhavya Gandhi and Shailesh Lodha left the long-running show due to various reasons.

The actor, who has been shooting for the show for the past 10 years, feels that comedy is a serious business. “The show has been running for the last 10 years and if it had not been entertaining the audience or if the gags were not working, the makers would not have continued. But, as an actor, I would rather shoot for the show. And as a viewer, I think Taarak Mehta continues to entertain… It’s not easy when you have to come up with humor in every episode throughout the year. It’s the longest running Comedy is one of the shows and so I think it is a big challenge for the writers and actors to keep it going.”
