Ashok, the operator of HP Petrol Pump on Khanauri Road in Kaithal district of Haryana, committed suicide by swallowing poison at the pump itself. A suicide note was found from the pocket of the deceased, in which he accused three people, including the sales officer of the petrol pump company, of abetting suicide. It is alleged that the sales officer used to demand bribe. He was upset by repeatedly giving bribe, due to which he took this step. On the complaint of Ashok’s son Sarthak, the police have registered a case of abetting suicide against sales officers Sunil Chawla and Baljeet Sharma.

Sarthak alleged in the complaint that father Ashok Garg had a contract to bring oil from HP Oil Company Panipat. While taking oil to the father, Sunil Chawla, the sales manager of the oil company, was told that your image in the company is not good. I will keep getting you oil from the company. In lieu of this, 10 thousand rupees were taken separately per tanker. Sunil Chawla has taken about 35 lakh rupees from his father in return for about 2-3 years. Sunil Chawla has taken this money through the company’s sales manager Baljit Sharma. Due to the transaction of these rupees, his father used to be troubled.

1 lakh taken, 50 thousand demanded
It is alleged that about a week ago Sunil Chawla had demanded one lakh rupees from his father through Baljit Sharma for DD on side in the company and was asking for 50 thousand rupees. Father went to the petrol pump on Sunday morning at 10:30. At around 1:45 am, information was received from the petrol pump that your father has consumed some poisonous item. He was admitted to a private hospital, where he died.

Case registered on the basis of complaint
City police station in-charge Surendra Singh said that on the complaint of the deceased’s son Sarthak, a case has been registered against Sunil Chawla and Baljit Sharma for abetting suicide. It is alleged that a bribe of 10 thousand was being demanded from the deceased on each vehicle.
