Kanpur: Three sub-inspectors and 11 policemen posted at Yadav Market police post were sent to the line on Wednesday after being found guilty of favoring one side in a property dispute case.

Mahadev had registered his house in the name of Umrao, but did not give his possession to him due to non-payment of the full amount.
On the other hand, Umrao had filed a case against Mahadev calling the registry of his plots as fake.
Not only this, Umrao had also given wrong information to the court that he is also in possession of Mahadev’s house, after which the court ruled in favor of Umrao.
Although the police was aware of the whole matter, but citing the order of the court, the in-charge of Yadav Market police post and other policemen not only forcibly occupied Mahadev’s house, but also filed a case of theft against him.
On Mahadev’s complaint, DCP (South) Raveena Tyagi asked Additional DCP Manish Sonkar to investigate the whole matter.
The ADCP, in its investigation, found that the conduct of the police was against the law.
“In the investigation, all the 14 policemen including three SIs were found guilty and they have been made to line up,” he said.
