There was a disturbance in PK Saharanpur on the day of Friday prayers i.e. 10 June 2022. The police launched a campaign to arrest the miscreants. Many people were also caught on the basis of suspicion. First they were beaten up fiercely in the lockup, then accused of making a ruckus were sent to jail. Now on the basis of the investigation report, the court acquitted many of these accused as innocent. The police administration gave him a clean chit under CrPC-169. These 8 people were released from jail on Sunday morning.

Out of these 8 people, we are telling you the story of 4 innocent people, these are the same people whose video of police beating went viral. If one of them broke his hand, then someone’s leg. On his arrest, BJP MLA Dr. Shalabh Mani Tripathi tweeted writing that it is a “return gift to the rebels”.

Mohammad Ali, who lives in Pir Wali Gali, reached home after his release from jail. A crowd of local people and relatives gathered at the house. Everyone was asking how. Ali says, “I offered Friday prayers at the mosque near my house. After that, I went to the agency to get the Activa. On the way, the police caught me. Sitting in the police station. Mohammad Asif also lives in Pir Wali Gali. Asif told, “Was going from the side of Jama Masjid in Scooty. Then 2 policemen came. They did not ask anything. Just caught them. While taking them to the police station, they said that they will match the footage.

The policemen brought Asif to the police station. There were already few people there. But by evening 30-35 people were brought in lock-up. Called everyone 10-10 in a room. Then everyone was beaten up fiercely. All I want is that action should be taken against the policemen who beat up.”

Shubhan, who lives in Peer Wali Gali, had gone to the police station to inquire about friends Asif and Ali in his locality. Shubhan says, ‘I reached the police station by bike. The police arrested me too. On the evening of June 10, two policemen beat him with sticks for 10 to 15 minutes. Keep pleading for innocence. But, no one listened to us. The body had turned blue from the beating. Couldn’t even walk on his feet. Didn’t even give anything for dinner. He was made guilty of rioting hungry and sent to jail.

Gulfam Musa’s brother-in-law is Asif. When the news of Asif’s arrest was received over the phone, he was on his way from Nakhasa Bazar to consult a lawyer. Then two policemen caught him. Took it to the police station. The police made an excuse to check the footage. Said, “Will be left after seeing the footage.” But the police also sent Gulfam guilty of rioting and sent him to jail. He says that he was also beaten up in the lockup. Now even after being released from jail, no hearing is taking place.
