Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Gorakhpur on Tuesday evening that those who breach our (national) security will have to face dire consequences. “We need to be vigilant and socially boycott those who threaten our national security,” he said.
The Chief Minister was on Tuesday to inaugurate 133 development projects worth Rs 40.66 crore and lay the foundation stone of 104 projects worth Rs 21.37 crore in Gorakhpur.
On the importance of vigilance of public and human intelligence, the CM said, “Children with hearing and speech disabilities in Delhi’s Batla House area were used to endanger the national security and now the government is dealing with them strictly. . In another incident, with the help of human intelligence, pro-Pakistan terrorists were found and a huge pile of gunpowder, latest ammunition and bombs were recovered from their possession. These terrorists were planning to disturb the peace and security of the country.”
On this occasion, CM also gave keys to 11 beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana. On the achievements of the government, he said that the earlier governments were interested in naming the projects after their ancestors and not in bringing welfare schemes for the poor and needy.
He said, “The welfare scheme is the right of the poor and under the PM Awas Yojana only 25,000 poor got houses in Gorakhpur and under the Svanidhi scheme the government took the street vendors towards self-reliance.”
On inquiry into encephalitis deaths, he said, “Earlier, a large number of encephalitis deaths were caused due to dirty environment, but now we have controlled encephalitis. Our corporators also worked hard during the pandemic and with joint efforts now Covid is also being eradicated from the state.”
“Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation got a new building and after 100 years when people see the building, they will remember Mayor Sitaram ji. Good work pays off and we should try not to disappoint those who have chosen us to represent them,” he said.
