This time Kolkata Police took Rodur Roy into custody for abusing Modi-Shah

Kolkata Police has used an old case to stay the bail of controversial speaker Rodur Roy. A new case has been registered at Bartala police station. As a result, on Tuesday, the Banshal Court rejected his bail.

Roddur Roy was arrested on the basis of an FIR lodged at the Hayer Street Police Station for allegedly defaming the Chief Minister. Kolkata Police arrested him from Goa. The judge ordered that Banshal be kept in police custody till Tuesday on production in the court. At the end of that period, the police wanted to take Rodoor Roy into custody on a case-by-case basis by presenting him in court in 2020.

In the case registered in the Bartala police station in the year 2020, it was alleged that Roddur Roy had insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on social media. After the application, the judge of Banshal Court directed to keep the accused in police custody till June 20.
