The party has distanced itself from the controversial statement of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh has issued a letter saying that we have full respect for all religions and their worshippers. BJP is a party that believes in all religions.

Country’s integrity and development first priority
In a statement issued by the BJP, it has been said that in the 75th year of independence, the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat is continuously getting stronger. Our first priority is Akhand Bharat and development. We are working continuously so that the unity of the country remains.

Condemn insult to religious person
The statement issued by the party further said that every religion has flourished in the history of thousands of years of India. BJP strongly condemns the insult of any religious person of any religion. The party is strongly against the ideology which insults any sect or religion. BJP does not propagate any such ideology.

Nupur made objectionable remarks on the Prophet
In a news debate, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had allegedly made objectionable remarks on the Prophet of Islam, which is being opposed by the Muslim community. Recently, Sharma issued a statement saying that his statement was distorted. A case has also been registered against Sharma in many states including Maharashtra.
