The credit for this also goes to the vaccination drive held in September last month. The vaccination held last month broke all previous records. In just one month, 5,04,569 people were able to get vaccination.

Vaccination speed in October halved

This month the vaccination is better than the rest of the months except September. But this pace has halved since last month. Last month, in the first 8 days, 1,31,549 people were vaccinated. At the same time, only 68,475 people have been able to get the vaccine this month. Due to this speed, the health department is also missing the target of 100% for the first day.

There were only 2 days in the month of September, there were zero cases

Amritsar has found zero for two consecutive days this month in terms of the number of new cases. Not only this, in the first 8 days of this month, there were zero cases on three days 5, 7 and 8 October. Whereas in the entire month of September, only two days were ‘0’ cases on 20 and 24 September.
