MUMBAI: In order to ensure smooth movement of traffic during the flag hoisting ceremony at Mantralaya on Sunday, the city traffic police has suspended all vehicular movement on the route falling from the city. Air India Junction, Madam Cama Road between the junction of Maharishi Karve Road (Queen Road) and Jeevan Bhim Marg (West).
Alternate route for vehicles coming from NS Road towards Marine Plaza Junction via KC College to take a left turn on Dinshaw Wachha Road – Right turn at Godrej Junction – Left turn, Colaba, cuff parade Proceed to the road and onward journey. To go from Colaba, Cuffe Parade to Lalit Junction, take a right turn-Godrej Junction turn right onto Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Road. CST And move on to the next journey.
The traffic police said that invitees coming from North, Walkeshwar Road, Pedder Road can come via Netaji Subhash Road. Air India junction, Madame Cama Road and enter Mantralaya via Jeevan Bhima Marg from the western entrance (Garden Gate Road). People coming from Maharishi Kare Road can enter Mantralaya Bhawan from the western entrance. People coming from Veer Nariman Road, Jamsetji Tata Road, Dinshaw Wachha Road can enter Mantralaya Bhawan from the western entrance. Invitation can come through Nathalal coming from Colaba Parekh Margihandjob oval ground, Dinshaw Wachha Road and enter Mantralaya Bhawan from the Western Gate.
The city traffic police has instructed the drivers to park their vehicles at the reserved parking spots. Drivers of vehicles should remain seated in the vehicle and should not leave it unattended. Self-propelled vehicles must be properly locked. The car pass should be prominently displayed on the front window of the car. The car number should be written on the car pass.
