Suriya starrer Jai Bheem is receiving huge praise from critics and audience alike. While it has attracted strong opposition from the ruling BJP, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) is all praises for it. A few days back, Secretary of State (CPI-M) K Balakrishnan wrote to Surya congratulating him on the success of Jai Bheem.
Now, Surya has replied to this letter. Thanking Balakrishnan, Surya said, “Namaskar, I received his congratulatory letter from respected Balakrishnan. Thank you so much for your warm congratulations on the movie ‘Jai Bhim'”.
“I have studied the communist movement closely and know that those who have adopted this philosophy always stand with the poor and the oppressed. In this film, we have emphasized the immense contribution of the communist movement as far as possible. Contribution of Chandru and Hon’ble Police Chief Perumalasamy has also been recorded.
“We also think that late Rajkannu’s wife Parvathi Ammal should receive a substantial portion of the income to help her lead a life of honour.
“Also, we are looking to contribute to funding the education of tribal students. We would like to once again express our heartfelt gratitude to the people who are doing good work in this field.”
Jai Bheem recently created history by becoming the number 1 film on IMDB replacing Shashank’s Redemption, which is now at number 2. The film was in controversy due to several reasons, including a scene in which Prakash Raj’s character was involved in slapping a man for speaking. Hindi in front of a police officer.
