India on Monday gave exemption to people from 99 countries including the US, UK, UAE, Qatar, France and Germany for entry into the country. Under this, if the corona vaccination of travelers from these 99 countries has been completed, then they will no longer need to be quarantined here. India suspended tourist visas in March last year. After this it was resumed from October 15 by allowing them on charter.

Report must be given up to 72 hours in advance
According to the new rule, passengers from these 99 countries (called Category A) will have to upload the negative report of Corona on the Air Suvidha portal within 72 hours before leaving for India.

These countries are also giving exemption to India
According to the Union Health Ministry, out of these 99 countries, there are countries that have an agreement with India regarding the exemption on the ongoing restrictions regarding Corona. Apart from this, there are also countries that have an agreement to recognize the certificate of vaccination of Indian citizens from nationally recognized or WHO-recognized vaccines. According to the ministry, these 99 countries have been kept in category A.

Many countries were placed in the ‘at risk’ category
Some countries India has considered ‘at risk’ (from the point of view of Covid) include countries in Europe including the UK, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Singapore.

Passengers from countries other than at-risk countries will be allowed to leave the airport and self-monitor their health for 14 days after arrival in India. At the same time, people from ‘at risk’ countries who have been vaccinated will be allowed to go out of the airport and they will also have to self-monitor their health for 14 days.
