Thane: A tempo driver and his assistant were killed, while a bike rider was seriously injured in two separate accidents in Thane in the early hours of Sunday.
Rescue officials said that a speeding tempo coming between Nashik and Thane collided with a container trailer running nearby. Kharegaon toll changed and KalwaHis driver and his assistant died on the spot around 5 am on Sunday.
“The impact was so bad that the driver’s cabin was badly damaged and both were trapped inside and by the time they could be rescued, they were dead,” a rescue officer said. .
