Thane: Two arrested for robbing siblings in Parsik tunnel. Thane News – Times of India

Thane: A Government Railway Police (GRP) in Thane on Thursday arrested two persons for robbing passengers near Parsik tunnel between Mumbra-Kalwa railway station of Central Railway.
Police said that the arrested accused Sameer Khan (23) and Bablu Gaur alias Chennai (22) residents Bhaskar Nagar area of Kalwa.
Police said they have seized stolen loot worth Rs 43,280 from the two, who are likely to be suspected of a similar crime on the railway line, and police said they are probing it.
A police officer said that the victim Pooja Mohite, a resident of Pune, was going towards Thane along with her brother by Kova-LTT Express at around 7 am on June 24.
Pooja’s mobile fell from the train. After that Pooja and her brother got down at Thane railway station. Both of them caught going towards the slow suburban train Welfare And got down at Kalwa railway station.
After this they went on the fast track and started searching for mobiles on foot in the Parsik Tunnel. But both the accused showed them the way and robbed the brother’s mobile phone and other jewellery, threatening to kill him. After the incident, the victim came back to Thane railway station. He registered the offense with Thane GRP.
Based on this information and vague details, the police launched a search and nabbed both the confessors and seized the stolen loot from their possession.
