Earlier on Tuesday evening, Hizbul Mujahideen commander Mehrajuddin Halwai alias Ubaid of Ganders area of ​​Kupwara district was killed. The first encounter took place in the Jodar area of ​​Kulgam. During the search operation of the security forces, the terrorists started firing. In retaliation, two terrorists were killed. The slain terrorists were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Terrorists were also killed in Pulawama’s Puchal
The second encounter took place in the Puchal area of ​​Pulwama. On information about the hiding of the terrorists, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. During this encounter, two terrorists were also killed. The identities of both are yet to be ascertained. According to sources, two more terrorists are likely to be hiding in the area.
