Union minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday alleged that “terrorism in the form of love jihad” was a ploy “to destroy Sanatan Dharma” and urged people to unite against it.
The Rural Development Minister was speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the death anniversary of former MLA Krishnanand Rai here in Mohammadabad.
He said, “Terrorism has taken a new shape in the form of Love Jihad… This is a ploy to destroy ‘Sanatan Dharma’ in India. Followers have to unite and foil this conspiracy.”
Advocating the need to enact a population control law, Singh said such policies would ensure the overall development of the country.
He claimed, “10 children are born every minute in China, while 31 children are born every minute in India.”
The minister lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for tackling crime in the state.
