Telangana reports 231 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Telangana On Sunday, 231 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths were recorded, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 6,384.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,54,989 and the death toll is 3,858. The number of active containment zones in the state was 19. Jagtial, Karimnagar And Nalgonda The state has most of the active containment zones.
A total of 453 patients were declared healthy on Sunday, taking the total number of recovered patients to 6,44,747. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate is now 98.43 per cent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.8 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.2 per cent have been symptomatic.
On Sunday, 46,987 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.39 crore samples and has reached 6.43 lakh sample tests per million population.
NS Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 66 cases on Sunday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 9 cases. Ranga Reddy 19 and Sanga Reddy registered 2 cases.
Outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar reported the highest number of 22 new cases on Sunday, while Narayanpet and Warangal Urban reported more cases.
