After a high-octane campaign over the past few weeks, Telangana will now go to poll on Thursday to elect 119 members to its legislative assembly.

There are 3.26 crore eligible voters in Telangana and they can exercise their franchise at 35,655 polling stations set up across the state.

According to the election schedule, polling will be held from 7 AM to 5 PM in 106 constituencies and from 7 AM to 4 PM in 13 Left Wing Extremism affected areas of the state.

As many as 2,290 contestants are in the fray for the elections in the state with results to be declared on December 3.

BRS has fielded candidates in all 119 seats. As per the seat sharing agreement, BJP and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan-headed Jana Sena are contesting in 111 and 8 seats respectively.

Congress has given one seat to its ally CPI and will fight from 118 other seats, while Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM has put up candidates in nine segments in the city.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VOTING

A person whose name is on the electoral roll of a particular assembly constituency can vote in the elections.

  • Voter ID
  • Driving license
  • Passport
  • Aadhar card
  • PAN card
  • MNREGA job card
  • Smart card issued by RGI under NPR
  • Passbook with a photograph issued by a state bank or post office
  • Service identity cards with photographs issued to employees by central/state govt./PSU/public limited company
  • Pension document with photograph
  • Health insurance smart cards issued under the scheme of the Ministry of Labour
  • Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs, etc.

You can check your name on the electoral roll by following steps:

  • Go to https: electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
  • Enter your state and select the preferred language
  • Fill in the details – name, surname, date of birth, gender
  • Select your district and assembly constituency
  • Enter the captcha code and click on search

You will see three ways (find below) to check your polling booth.

SEARCH BY DETAILS

i) Enter your state and select the preferred language

ii) Fill in the details – name, surname, date of birth, gender

iii) Select your district and assembly constituency

iv) Enter the captcha code and click on search

SEARCH BY EPIC/VOTER ID CARD

a) Select Language

b) Fill in your EPIC Number/Voter ID card details

c) Select State

d) Enter the captcha code and click on search

SEARCH BY MOBILE

1) Select state

2) Select language

3) Fill in mobile number

4) Enter OTP which you have received on your mobile number

5) Enter the captcha code and click on search
