Telangana CM KCR rushed to hospital after weakness, pain in left arm; Doctors say ‘he’s fine’

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was rushed to the hospital on Friday after he complained of pain and weakness in his left arm. A team of doctors at Somajiguda Yashoda Hospital conducted a medical examination and said that the Chief Minister is “absolutely fine and does not have any health problems”.

He underwent several tests because of symptoms of a heart attack such as weakness and pain in his left arm. The tests were conducted by the team of doctors led by the Chief Minister’s personal physician MV Rao, Chief Cardiologist Pramod Kumar and Medical Services Chief Dr Vishnu Reddy.

All the medical reports related to the heart were normal, the doctors said, “The CM was diagnosed with pain in the left arm due to cervical spondylosis and it is an age-related problem. He advised rest for a week. He will work after a week with double enthusiasm.”

Dr. Vishnu Reddy said that the Chief Minister was suffering from weakness for the last two days and doctors examined him at his residence and advised him to undergo some medical tests at the hospital.

Dr Pramod Kumar said that he did a coronary angiogram to see if there was any coronary block, especially as it was called left arm pain. Fortunately, there were no blocks and ECG and 2D echo tests were also done, he said.

“However, there was some difficulty with the MRI of the neck. The problem comes because the CM mostly reads newspapers and watches the iPad. Neurophysiologists are of the same opinion. He has low blood pressure, diabetes. Everything is under control. He was on tour and giving speeches for hours together,” said Dr Pramod.

KCR’s wife Shobha, grandson Himanshu, son and state cabinet minister KTR, daughter and MLC Kavita, MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, minister Harish Rao, minister Srinivasa Gaur and others accompanied the CM to the hospital.
