Telangana CM KCR announces Rs 3 lakh ex-gratia for the next of kin of farmers killed in protests

The Telangana government on Saturday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh to the bereaved families of farmers who lost their lives in the farmers’ agitation against the Centre’s three agriculture laws.

State Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also urged the Center to give a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to each family.

The announcement came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi repealed three agriculture laws passed by the Centre.

TRS Minister and Chief Minister’s son KT Rama Rao said, “Proud of Hon’ble @TelanganaCMO #KCRGaru to announce an ex-gratia of ₹3 lakh to all 750 plus farmers who lost their lives fighting #FarmLaws in NCR. He Also demanded from the government. Government of India will announce an ex-gratia amount of Rs.25 lakh to each farmer family and withdraw all cases unconditionally.”
