Hyderabad: Telangana Dalit Brothers – formerly known as Dalits Sashaktikaran Yojana – a flagship program of the TRS government will be launched on a pilot basis by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao from Huzurabad assembly constituency having by-polls.
The Chief Minister has approved Rs 2,000 crore for the implementation of the scheme in Huzurabad constituency alone, in addition to the Rs 1,200 crore announced earlier for the program across the state. The date of launch of Telangana Dalit Bandhu will be announced soon.
Like the Rythu Bandhu scheme, the financial assistance to the beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. “The problems of Dalits will not be the same and they will vary from rural to semi-urban to urban areas. Classification should be done and Dalit Bandhu should be implemented successfully. KCR Told the officials.
Under the scheme, a security fund will also be created with Rs 10 lakh in cash for each family. In case of emergency, for the family falling under Dalit Bandhu, the security fund will help to sustain them not to live in poverty.
The objective of the Dalit Bandhu Yojana is to lift the Dalit families from their present condition to prosperity. We need officers who can put their heart and soul with full commitment and dedication to make this scheme a success. Officials told the CM that 20,929 families of Huzurabad assembly constituency would be selected as beneficiaries. The scheme will be implemented under saturation mode for the eligible families as per the guidelines.
Based on the post-implementation results of the pilot project, the officials will review and expand the scheme across the state.
