Team India captain Rohit Sharma tested positive for Kovid-19 on Saturday.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has tested positive for Kovid-19 in the Rapid Antigen Test in Leicester, England. He was tested on Saturday, June 25. He has been kept in isolation along with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team to monitor his health.

“Team India captain Mr Rohit Sharma has tested positive for COVID-19 following the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on Saturday. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel and is under the care of the BCCI medical team.

Rohit Sharma tested positive ahead of the fifth Test match between India and England in Birmingham and hence, it is not yet clear whether he will play the match or not. The match is to start from July 1.
