The company has already stated that the risk assessment model for employee recall will go deep into various parameters such as vaccination status, employee’s residence, area and locality at risk and basic health parameters to ensure that the office remains safe. India’s largest IT services company contributes about 15 percent of the country’s $150 billion software exports and employs a tenth of its 4.6 million technology workforce. Gopinathan said he expects TCS to capture a larger share of the global technology outsourcing market amid the general trend of market shift towards using bigger players. So far, more than 90 percent of TCS employees in India have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
