Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Tamil Nadu put up a one-sided performance to beat Hyderabad to enter the final of the domestic T20 tournament. The semi-final was being played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, formerly known as Feroz Shah Kotla.
Earlier in the day, Vijay Shankar won the toss for Tamil Nadu and decided to bowl first.

Their bowlers did a tremendous job and bundled out Hyderabad for just 90 runs. Sarwan Kumar took five wickets and conceded just 21 runs. The semi-final belonged to this 32-year-old medium pacer. Tanay Thiagarajan was the highest run scorer for Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad team was without Mohammad Siraj and thus looked weak in the bowling department as well. Tamil Nadu performed brilliantly with the bat and skipper Vijay Shankar top-scored with 43 runs.
Tamil Nadu will now face Karnataka or Vidarbha in the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The final will be played in Delhi on Monday, 22 November 2021.
