Chennai: Chief Minister MK Stalin Sources said Chennai is likely to hold its first annual conference with district collectors and superintendents of police soon.
The Chief Minister has held a meeting with the collectors through video conferencing on Kovid-19 management. Government sources said the proposed meeting is expected to be held by November and heads of departments have been asked to bring out an agenda for the session which could last for two days.
“Secretaries of the departments have been informed but the date has not been finalized yet. The priorities of the new government will be discussed and the major programs implemented, and various welfare measures apart from law and order with the police will be intensified. Will be done,” said a source. Former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami held a conference with district collectors in Chennai in 2019, and later last year held a meeting with administrative heads at the district headquarters amid the Covid pandemic.
