Microsoft It is rumored to announce the successor to its dual-screen smartphone – Surface Duo at 2 surface specific The event is scheduled for September 22. As per the rumours, the Surface Duo 2 is speculated to feature an improved design, triple rear camera setup and more.
Windows Central is now reporting that the dual-screen smartphone has passed FCC certification and the document reveals that it will have 5G support, NFC and wireless charging.
As per the document, the Surface Duo 2 will come with wireless power transfer. Speculations also point to induction-based charging for the Surface Pen.
Surface Duo 2 will bring NFC and 5G support which was missing from the first generation of the smartphone. It is also speculated to come with UWB (ultra-wideband support).
The tech website mentions that the leaked FCC listing doesn’t reveal any details about the rumored triple rear camera setup that surfaced in an image render of the smartphone earlier this month. Surface Duo 2 is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm dragon picture 888 SoC.
The second generation Surface Duo will also see some design changes such as the power button will now double as a fingerprint scanner and the charging port is expected to move to the bottom right of the smartphone.
