Chandrashekhar, lodged in the Mandoli Jail of the national capital, is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from the wife of a businessman.

Alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar on Monday moved a Delhi court alleging bias against the judge hearing his case and seeking his transfer.

Chandrashekhar filed an application before Principal District and Sessions Judge Dharmesh Sharma.

“Since the applicant/accused has alleged favoritism against the Presiding Officer/ASJ, copy of the present transfer petition be sent to him to clarify his observations, which shall be placed before this Court for further consideration on 17th April could.” Sharma said.

Chandrashekhar, lodged in the Mandoli Jail of the national capital, is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from the wife of a businessman.

The court had directed the jail authorities concerned to physically produce the accused on the next date of hearing.

Chandrasekhar has argued that all the reliefs being given to other accused in the case are not being given to him and his wife Leena Paul.

He had allegedly defrauded the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh to the tune of Rs 200 crore.

He had allegedly duped his wives Aditi Singh and Japana Singh of crores of rupees while posing as an officer of the Union Law Ministry, promising that he would secure bail for their husbands.

Both Chandrasekhar and his actor wife Leena Paul were arrested by the Delhi Police in September last year for their alleged involvement in the case.
