According to reports, most of the copying happened in Kent University. There around 47 students were tested for ChatGPT or other AI tools. Similarly, 41 students have been screened at Birkbeck, University of London.

However, due to this being a brand new technology, the investigation is taking a long time. Of the 35 investigations initiated so far, more than half of 19 have yielded no results and are still under investigation.

A survey was also conducted in this regard. Nearly 51 percent of students view the use of AI tools like ChatGPT as cheating or plagiarism to complete assignments and exams, according to this BestCollege survey. However, they are still using it. According to unconfirmed data, one out of every five students uses it.
