Canacona: Fishermen from Talpona and its surrounding areas in Canacona need the federal government to strictly implement the fishing ban for the remaining interval. The annual fishing ban comes into power from June 1 and continues until July 31. The fishermen have urged the federal government to crack down on trawlers in addition to fishing vessels from different states coming into Goan waters, in violation of the ban. tnn
