Stock Market Live Updates: Sensex jumps over 600 points on gains in auto, bank stocks; Nifty above 15,900 – The Times of India

Indian stock indices rose in early trade on Wednesday due to a fresh sharp fall in global crude oil prices. Globally, crude oil prices fell to $100 a barrel on Wednesday from $110 on Monday. Crude is trading at the psychological benchmark of $100 a barrel since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February. The Sensex was trading 263.36 points or 0.50 per cent higher at 53,397.71 at 9.51 am, while the Nifty was up 78.10 points or 0.49 per cent at 15,888.95.
