Station masters called for a strike on many demands including recruitment

This time the station master is going to start an agitation against the railway officials. And if they join the movement, there will be a stir in the whole country. The station master is going to start an agitation demanding security and ‘tension’ allowance from the recruitment of vacant posts. They have already announced that they will go on nationwide strike on 31st May.

When he came to power, the Prime Minister said, there will be two crore unemployed jobs every year in the country. But in reality this did not happen. It is alleged that even after being elected 16 MPs from Bengal, 18 jobs were not given to the boys and girls of Bengal. Narendra Modi’s government is under pressure regarding this issue. Therefore, the Railway Board has started looking for a solution to this problem.

What exactly is the General Secretary of the Station Masters Association saying? In this regard, P Sunilkumar, General Secretary, All India Station Masters Association said, “At present there are more than 6,000 vacancies for Station Masters in the country. Due to this the workload on the station masters is increasing. The tension is also increasing. As a result, deaths are also taking place due to the disease. But the Railway Board is not taking any initiative to solve this problem.

It is noteworthy that on March 26, a station master working at a station in Secunderabad division died of a heart attack due to stress. A central level meeting of All India Station Masters Association has already been called in New Delhi on emergency basis. It has been decided to go on strike to fill the vacant posts with security/tension allowance. But for the time being there will be a one-day strike. And if the demand is not met, there will be a big agitation.
