Earlier, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor also condemned the attack on the students.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday condemned the alleged attack on students from Kerala at the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) in Madhya Pradesh by the institute’s security staff.

He also urged the Center to intervene in the matter and take necessary action. It may be noted that on March 10, four students from Kerala were manhandled and manhandled by the security staff at IGNTU.

In a social media post, Chief Minister Stalin termed it an “outrageous” attack on Kerala students at IGNTU by security staff.

“I appeal to the central government to intervene and stop the growing trend of discrimination and attacks against students in higher educational institutions,” he tweeted.

Earlier, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor had also condemned the attack on Kerala students at IGNTU and appealed to Union Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to intervene in the matter.

Vijay Dixit, Public Relations Officer, IGNTU, in a tweet said, “On the night of March 10, an argument broke out between students and security personnel over clicking pictures at a water tank near the main gate of the university.”

“The matter turned into a fight, following which the security personnel approached the Amarkantak police station with a complaint against the students, who in turn demanded the university administration to take action against the security personnel.”
