Delhi University’s St Stephen’s College has said that admission to the minority institution will be based on 85 per cent of the CUET scores and 15 per cent of the interview scores of all categories of applicants, as directed by the university. ,

In an admission notice posted on its website on Tuesday, the college also said that it reserves the right to proceed with admission as per its admission policy guaranteed as a minority institution. The college reserves 50 percent of its seats for general candidates and the rest for Christian students. DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh had recently said that for general seats, the college should only take into account the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores, while for minority seats, it may conduct interviews and pass the 85 percentile. can give weightage of For CUET score and rest interview.

A DU official said that they are trying to resolve the issue with the college. “We are aware of the notification. We are trying to resolve the matter. We still have time to reach that stage as currently only the registration for CUET is going on. We will sort out the issue,” said the official.

The college also said that it will launch its undergraduate admission portal and candidates seeking admission in the college should register for CUET as well as apply through it. The college will decide the number of applicants under all categories who will be shortlisted on the basis of CUET score and will be called for interview. Last month, the University Grants Commission made CUET scores mandatory for admission to all 45 central universities in the country.
