Victoria Beckham and her Spice Girls bandmates performed “Stop” hook step at her 50th birthday party.
Victoria Beckham, celebrated fashion designer and former Spice Girl, recently turned 50. She celebrated her birthday in London with her close friends and family members. The birthday bash, which was a star-studded affair, saw Victoria reuniting with her former Spice Girls bandmates Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm. In a video shared by David Beckham on Instagram, the five women could be seen enjoying a karaoke moment, singing along to their 1997 hit, Stop. Victoria’s husband and the legendary English footballer also joined the ladies and sang along.
“I mean come on,” he wrote in his caption.
As the video plays, the five women can be seen dancing in sync while taking their original positions from the music video as they sang their hearts out, reliving the moment once again. As the chorus from the song echoes, the OG Spice Girls also make the iconic ‘stop’ gesture with their hands.
Later, Victoria also shared the video on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife”
Notably, it was the first time that the bandmates had come together in years. They were last seen performing in 2012 at the London Olympics opening ceremony. Meanwhile, fans seemed overjoyed to see the Spice Girls back together as many flooded the comment section to share their excitement. “The moment the entire planet has been waiting for,” a fan wrote while another commented, “The way a whole generation is SHAKING.”
“I am crying happy tears! OMG! I love Spice Girls so freaking much! Happy birthday, Victoria!” a fan wrote.
Victoria Beckham’s Birthday Bash
Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday bash was held on Saturday at Oswald’s private members club in Mayfair. The event saw a lot of celebrity guests in attendance, including Tom Cruise, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Salma Hayek, Gordon Ramsay and Jason Statham among others. The entire Beckham family including the husband-and-wife duo along with the couple’s four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper also arrived at the party.
Victoria shared a series of pictures with her family on Instagram, captioning, “Can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much.”
While Beckham and his sons chose formal attire for the evening, Victoria was dressed in a light green ball gown and their daughter in a floor-length dress. However, the fashion designer was spotted arriving in crutches due to a foot injury she sustained recently.
