SP protected mafia for chair, but we take action against them, no matter how big the name is: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said in an exclusive interview to News18.com that our government does not give shelter to mafia, but takes strict action against them.

The UP government has gone after more than 40 big mafia names like Mukhtar Ansari and Atiq Ahmed, their assets worth Rs 1,800 crore have been demolished and confiscated and they have been put behind bars, Yogi Adityanath said.

“We have used bulldozers against corrupt, criminals and gangsters. If Akhilesh Yadav If there is a problem with bulldozers, it shows his interest in sympathizing with criminals and gangsters who have been troubling the poor for years,” the CM said, adding that majority of the people in the state support his party’s stand on the mafia.

Adityanath said his government has “360 degree” the situation on the law and order front, and things were different now as his government has taken strict action against the mafia by following a “zero tolerance” policy.

“Since Samajwadi Party did nothing, they are trying to save mafia to get support but majority is against it and will support us. We do not keep mafia with us, we take action against them,” the CM insisted in the interview.

He hit out at Akhilesh Yadav, accusing the Samajwadi Party government of having “different priorities” and “always supporting the mafia to save his chair”. Yogi Adityanath claimed that this has led to oppression of the poor, industrialists and traders. “The result was no new investment coming in, lowest per capita income, poor growth and high unemployment rates. The stable law and order situation in the state has now helped us to gain the confidence of industrialists and investors. Our government has a strict law to check crime syndicates harassing industrialists earlier,” the CM said.

Yogi said that this has ensured a positive environment for businesses in the state and this is the reason why global brands like Samsung, Reliance and Microsoft are setting up industries in the state. “UP has attracted a record investment of about Rs 11 lakh crore across all sectors, of which around Rs 5 lakh crore is in heavy industries and another Rs 5 lakh crore in the MSME sector, thus providing employment to over 3 million youth. Ensures. UP,” he said.

In the new Uttar Pradesh of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ there is no place for patrons of mafia, criminals and other evil elements. While we are working towards the welfare of villages, farmers, youth and development, it is also necessary to destroy the mafia culture that is hindering the development of UP.
