As the elections to the Punjab Legislative Assembly approach, the investigation of the case related to the sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib has intensified. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Punjab Police again reached the headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa on Friday. Here the police officers are interrogating the vice chairman of the dera, Dr. PR Nain. However, the chairperson of the dera, Vipassana Insan, has not been found by the SIT even today. The SIT had gone to the camp for questioning earlier too, but had to return empty-handed. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered the SIT to interrogate both of them by going to the camp itself.

SIT IG SPS Parmar will be led by SSP Mukhwinder Bhullar, DSP Lakhbir Singh and Inspector Dalbir Singh. Earlier, the team had also interrogated Ram Rahim in Rohtak’s Sunaria Jail. This is the fifth time after two SITs, the CBI and the Ranjit Singh Commission, to investigate the sacrilege case in Punjab.

Why questioning Dera managers is important
A few days ago, the SIT went to Rohtak’s Sunaria jail and questioned Baba Ram Rahim. In which Ram Rahim said that his work was only to do satsang. From the income of the dera to the property, only the dera managers would know about all kinds of work. The SIT wants to make it clear that there is no role of Dera managers in the sacrilege case in Faridkot. However, all the people of the dera, including Ram Rahim, have denied being involved in the sacrilege incident.
