Sourav Ganguly Confirms ‘Rishabh Pant Will Not be Available For IPL 2023’

Rishabh Pant was involved in an accident last month after which he suffered multiple injuries.

east India Captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has said that Rishabh Pant will not be available for IPL 2023 as he is recovering from a horrific card accident in which he suffered multiple injuries. Pant was brought from Dehradun to a hospital in Mumbai last week ahead of his knee surgery.

With Pant leading Delhi Capitals in the IPL, reports are surfacing that they might turn to Australian David Warner to take over the captaincy role, in case the wicketkeeper-batsman is missing in the upcoming season.

After emergency care at a local facility, he was shifted to a private hospital in Dehradun before the BCCI decided to fly him to Mumbai to continue his treatment.

In a statement last week, the BCCI said, “Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, torn ligaments in his right knee and also injuries to his right wrist, ankle, toe and bruises on his back.” “

According to a report, Pant’s main target is to be fit in time for the ODIs World Cup which is to be held in India later this year.
