Sobhita Dhulipala is all set to make her Hollywood debut with ‘Monkey Man’ in which she will be sharing the screen with the Oscar-nominated Dev Patel. Recently, the makers dropped the trailer of the movie and announced that the film will hit theatres on April 5 this year.

The trailer revealed that Monkey Man revolved around a man (Dev) and his revenge against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother. It began with Dev recalling his mother telling him the story of Lord Hanuman as he then argued that the rich do not see poor as humans in ‘this city’. The trailer then showed Dev wearing a gorilla mask as he fight goons to get justice. It also shared a glimpse of Sobhita but does not reveal much details about her character.

Sharing the trailer on her Instagram handle, Sobhita wrote, “An absolute joy to share the trailer of my debut Hollywood film #MonkeyMan Releasing 5th April across theatres globally.” Watch it here:

Soon after Sobhita shared the trailer online, friends and fans rushed to the comments section to wish luck to the actress. Her Made In Heaven co-star, Trinetra called the trailer “WILD”. On the other hand, Adarsh Gourav wrote, “So sooo excited for this! Looks absolutely mental!!”

Besides Dev Patel and Sobhita Dhulipala, Monkey Man also stars Makarand Deshpande, Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Adithi Kalkunte, and Ashwini Kalsekar.

Meanwhile, the buzz is that Sobhita Dhulipala has also been roped in for a key role in Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie, Jigra. The speculation started after netizens noticed that Alia followed Sobhita back on Instagram recently. A viral post surfaced on the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, also claimed that Sobhita Dhulipala is on board for Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
