Actor Sivakarthikeyan on Monday paid tribute to the late Kannada star Puneet Rajkumar, who died of cardiac arrest on 29 October. The sudden demise of the 46-year-old actor has shook the nation. His last rites were performed on October 31, when his eldest daughter who was studying in the United States returned home. To pay tribute to Puneeth, Sivakarthikeyan on Monday visited Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru, where power star Puneeth was placed next to his parents’ memorial.
Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan also reached Puneeth’s house. He met Puneet’s widow Ashwini Renawat and other family members. He expressed condolences.
Speaking to the press, Sivakarthikeyan said that he is still shocked by the “unfortunate incident” of Puneet’s demise. He recalled the time when Puneet had encouraged him during an award function many years ago.
“Puneet Rajkumar’s passing is still unbelievable for me as I spoke to him a month back. His death is a great loss to the entire cinema world. He will be remembered for his good deeds. He is a role model for many people like me. He always inspired people both on and off-screen,” Sivakarthikeyan was quoted as saying by Times of India.
The Tamil star also revealed that Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar informed her that her late husband enjoyed her recent film ‘Doctor’.
