Sindhi: Karnataka: Hangal, Sindgi bypoll results will be out today. Hubli News – Times of India

Bengaluru/Haveri: Bypoll results Idiot (Haveri District) and virtuosity (Vijaypura) assembly constituencies will be announced on Tuesday.
The Election Commission said that 69% of votes were cast in Sindgi and 84% in Hangal in the polling held on October 28. Six candidates are in the fray in Sindgi and 13 in Hangal. The by-election was held after the death of Sindgi JD(S) MLA MC Managuli and BJP CM Udasi.
The bypoll for Basavaraj Bommai is being seen as the first major election challenge after BS Yediyurappa took over as the CM in July. It is more important for Bommai to retain Hangal as he represents the neighboring Shiggaon assembly constituency.
Bommai, Siddaramaiah both confident of victory
With a victory, the Congress is looking to ramp up its preparations for the 2023 Assembly elections. The JD(S) wants to retain the Sindgi seat and prove that its support base in north Karnataka is still intact.
The by-election campaign reached a low level and the leaders launched personal attacks without any restraint, rising above the party line.
Bommai said he was confident of winning both the seats because he had the mandate of the people and also because of good turnout. Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah also exuded confidence that the Congress would win the seats at stake.
“BJP has spent huge money on elections. Despite match-fixing with JD(S), BJP will not win as it has no achievements to show.
