Punjab Police got 7 days remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on Wednesday. Earlier, Lawrence Bishnoi was produced by the Punjab Police before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mansa Court in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. After Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Tuesday allowed Punjab Police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Bishnoi was taken to Punjab and also allowed a transit application of Punjab Police. Advocate Vishal Chopra, appearing for Lawrence Bishnoi, opposed the plea of ​​Punjab Police and said there was a security threat. There are apprehensions that Lawrence Bishnoi may be “terminated” if given transit remand.

Bishnoi’s lawyer said that we are not opposed to virtual inquiry and investigation. “We are opposing his physical transit remand to Punjab. The Punjab Police can arrest him in the case if needed, but only in Delhi,” he said.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on 29 May by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district of Punjab. The incident happened a day after Punjab Police withdrew the security of 424 others.

Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party in December last year ahead of the assembly elections.
