Sidhu lashed out at Channi government again: asked on the statement of Deputy CM – why appeal to HC, when instructions have been given to open the report and take action

Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu, who is besieging his own party’s government led by Charanjit Channi on the issue of drugs, has attacked Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa. Sidhu said that what is the meaning of appeal in High Court in drug case? Whereas the court has ordered them to open the report and take action. Sidhu said that if there is nothing in the report, then make Captain Amarinder Singh responsible. If anything, then take action immediately.

Sidhu’s reaction came on the statement, in which Randhawa said that we are forming a panel. Which will fix the responsibility of the officers on the delay in the investigation of drugs case. Apart from this, he will again demand to open the sealed report in the High Court on 6 December.

Randhawa said this

Deputy CM Randhawa, who is looking after the Home Department in Punjab, said on Saturday that he has formed a high-level committee. Through this, the officers who delay in the case related to drugs will be known. The committee will consist of Chief Secretary Anirudh Tiwari, Principal Secretary (Home) Anurag Verma and DGP Iqbalpreet Sahota. This panel will give its report in 7 days.

It was also claimed that the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) wrote three letters to the Chief of the Special Task Force (STF). It said that he should continue the investigation of the drugs case. He was not stopped by the government and the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Despite this, the investigation of the high profile drug case was not carried forward.
