Shweta Tiwari on daughter Palak’s debut: Couldn’t help her much, it’s sad

Shweta Tiwari is one proud mother as daughter Palak Tiwari gears up for her Bollywood debut with the horror film, “Rosy: The Kesar Chapter”. However, the television star regrets that she could not give more than her support to Palak as she mainly belongs to a different industry.

“I feel so proud because whatever she got, she did it with her hard work and her auditions. I was just there to support her. I couldn’t give her anything more than to be in a different industry. ( I) belong to the TV industry, and she is going to enter the film industry,” Shweta told IANS.

40-year-old Shweta has been a part of the television industry for more than two decades now. She gained popularity with her performance as Prerna Sharma Bajaj in “Kasauti Zindagi Ki”, and later starred in shows such as “Parvarish”, “Begusarai” and “Mere Dad Ki Dulhan”.

The actress added, “The way these two industries work is totally different. I think I couldn’t have helped her more, which I am sad. She is such a hardworking girl and I am very proud of her.”

Shweta will soon be seen in the 11th season of “Khatron Ke Khiladi” hosted by the filmmaker. Rohit Shetty on colours.

Talking about Palak’s debut film, it is based on the real-life story of the sudden disappearance of a Gurugram-based woman named Rosie, who was an employee in a BPO company. After hosting a nationwide hunt to zero in on a new talent to play the titular character, the makers picked Palak.

The film co-stars Vivek Oberoi. Prerna V Arora, presenting the film, says: “We started shooting for Rosy: The Kesar Chapter in December. Shooting amidst the new normal was tough but everything went smoothly. We had a team of young and ambitious people who put in their efforts. Best move to turn our dream into reality. Now, we can’t wait to start the final schedule of the film. We hope our teaser gets enough love and support from everyone.”
