Shooting of Karthi-starrer Sardar to resume from January 6

The Karthi-starrer Sardar was announced in November 2020, but the film could not release in 2021. The shooting had to be stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the latest reports suggest that the makers are keen to resume shooting soon this year.

Interestingly, the first ceremony or Muhurta of the PS Mithran directorial was held on February 14, 2020. Thereafter, it took the team over a year to start shooting for the film. The cast and crew began work on the film on April 26, 2021. However, the shooting had to be stopped after two days as the second wave of Kovid-19 spread in the country. The sets were ruined at the cost of crores of makers.

Not long after Sardar was announced, Karthi acted in the newly released film Ponniyin Selvan. Although reports say that the first part of the film has been shot, but it is not yet complete. Meanwhile, Karthi starred in a film produced by his brother Surya. Now that the work of Viruman is complete, Sardar is all set to resume shooting for it from January 6. The shooting of the film is happening in Chennai.

According to reports, Sardar is a spy thriller in which Karthi is playing a double role. There are many twists and turns in the film. Raashi Kanna and Rajisha Vijayan are playing the roles of the female leads. The cast also includes Munish Kant, Simran, Chunky Pandey, Prince and Murli Sharma.

The film is being directed by BS Mitran, who has directed films like Irumbu Thirai and Hero. S Laxman Kumar is producing Sardar under the banner of Prince Pictures. George C Williams is the cinematographer, while Rubens is tasked with editing. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this film so that they can see their favorite star in action once again.
